1907 was the inaugural year.
Between 1910 and 1917, the race distance was roughly 25 miles (40 km).
The 1912 race was to have been run on 28 Nov but was postponed until 30 May 1913 due to inclement weather conditions.
The 1913 race distance was reduced to 15 miles (24.1 km) due to the postponement of the regular 1912 race until 30 May 1913.
The 1948 race was expropriated by the AAU for a one-time "pro" event requiring a one-time AAU sanction. The Yonkers race organizers do not consider the 1948 race as an "official" Yonkers race. The race was actually in Queens.
The 1955-60 courses are estimated to have been 200 meters short based on changes to the course.
The 1965 course was remeasured at 88 yards (80 meters) short.
The 1970 women's winner, Nina Kuscsik, ran unofficially.
The 2002 race was cancelled due to the 9-11 incident.
